This poll springs from my own musing about which movie (Pirates 1 or Pirates 2) had the better [insert aspect here], as well as my intense curiosity about what others think regarding the same. These are simple questions with simple answers, not because I believe that the decision between Curse of the Black Pearl and Dead Man's Chest is anything like simple, but because I am looking for the most immediate answers without qualification. When in doubt, just go with your gut :)

I was so sad that they didn't try to personify the Pearl more, I really liked how attached one could get to the ships in CotBP. I'm DEMANDING severe personification of the Pearl during AWE, a) because the concept of rescuing Jack from death seems so abstract that they just might be able to pull it off, b) "witty Jack and (im)precious Pearl"? c'mon!

As a side note, I ADORE how aware DMC was of itself. Pintel/Raggetti's use as clarification for the viewers at the end made my postmodern heart flutter.
