it was an adventure and a maze run (it takes navigation through the main library's underlit basement and then through an underground skylit hall and up four flights of stairs into the old library to get to the literature/fiction stacks), but I ran it and I won it and I now have Breakfast on Pluto by Patrick McCabe sitting on my lap. And I was going to go into town to get necessities, but it's sticky and gross out and >this< close to pissing it down again -- I woke up to thunder and light'ning YAY! -- so I think I'll hedge my bets and stay in the still sticky and gross but not >this< close to pissing it down dorm room and read until matriculation in an hour.

maybe shower again, b/c feel disgusting.



On another note, my cousin is a freshman at LSU, so prayers or thoughts for him (and everyone else in the area) would be appreciated as the storm hits.

oh, I can already tell you it's fantastic! I'm about a third of the way through and thoroughly in love. and I'll certainly present a full squee opinion when I finish (assuming I have time).
