I'm homesick. For the first time ever at school. And... what did it?

Faure. Go fecking figure, damn the incredible French composer for it.

I remember singing this at St. James', and I'm actually on the verge of tears (which is probably more the Faure than the homesickness, really).



If you haven't heard Faure's Cantique de Jean Racine, do. I must remember to do a Faure-listing music post. No doubt he is my favorite composer. Ever. Purcell comes in second.

Faure's one of my favourites too. have you ever done his Messe Basse? that's the piece that did it for me when I moved away - we sang it at evensong every week for about 6 years and I'm too old to sing it now really *sniffles*
