look, in the sky, Chief.
Lois: It's a bird.
Perry: It's a plane.
Jimmy: No, look it's...
Clark: Uh, you wanted to see me?
you see this picture? looks pretty damn silly, doesn't it. but that sucker is great in action. srsly! I definitely approve of the movie, even though there were some parts that weren't so great (Lois Lane being a major DiD, for one). they did a fantastic job of carrying on / bringing in all the Superman mythos and it was epic and uplifting and grin-inducing and just plain fun and man. I loved it.
more later, maybe, but I need to sleep now!
(p.s. it wasn't until we were walking out of the theater that I realized I was wearing a Batman-logo tee, which amused me greatly and even moreso when the kid in a Flash-logo tee walked past and we both cracked up at each other)

Heee, the dogs. >:D And Lex. And =o the Kryptonite stabbing. ;___;
Unfortunately, the novelization doesn't even come close to the movie. The author even dropped the entire Jason subplot (I mean, he exists, but he's not... super). Maybe I was spoiled by the Spidey novelizations by Peter David though.

and also, re: Kryptonite -- I CRIED. no, seriously, I sat there and cried; I'm such a loser.
novelizations pretty much always suck, except since Peter David does not suck the Spiderman novelizations must have been anomalies in the trend. which is one of suckage.
no seriously, the soundtrack was incredible.

I didn't cry, but I seriously choked up. :( That was terrible.
Hmm, quite true. I do really love the Spider-Man novelizations though, so I thought I'd try it. Won't try that again. ;)

I don't know precisely why I cried, as I'm not known to be a big fan of the big dumb alien in the first place, and also "killing Superman" is the oldest plot trick in the book, but ... gah. that sequence was just really really intense.
what're really bad are the Batman Begins picture books -- not the "visual guide" / "official movie guide", but the kiddie and preeteen picture books.

Neither am I, really. It must be the Bat-fan in us. ;) Routh really made it real though. It was painful to watch. :|
*snort* I can imagine... especially since I spent a while reading all the Batman Beyond kids books at my local Barne's and Noble. :D

Missed you so! And lookie! I'm finally trying to comment on my flist (rather than just sticking to the comms...)
Ooooh, Superman! I was kinda uncertain about it myself, because, as you say, looked silly. So maybe I'll go see it...uh, after I see PotC:DMC of course! Saw X:3 and totally wished Singer had directed it as well since he handles large casts really well..but really, can only juggle so many projects, eh? Ah well, must find time to go see Superman now!
*makes BIG note on calendar*

And I am so glad to know you cried, because I choked up at the stabbing scene and seriously, even though I KNEW, I had a heart attack when he died and literally just clutched at my (rather expansive) chest until the shot of the window. I'm so sad XD.
Did you sing the theme tune by the way? *has to ask* :D.
But yes. I was v. impressed with the whole thing, and I'm glad you were too! (So buying. So very, very buying)
