Da currently fiddling with my laptop.
Quick briefing of the day:

1-My family's on drugs, lots, and it's pretty awesome. When it doesn't suck.

2-Narnia was entirely perfect, in every way, except possibly Aslan's voice (wtf how can that be??) and Jadis' not-quite-glam-ness, but I'm heading downstairs to watch the BBC VHS in a few minutes anyway so I'll let you know after that. I want to take Lucy home with me, and that soundtrack WILL BE MINE.

3-My sister and I ARE SUCH BIG WIMPS. We started bawling with Aslan's shadow on the wall of Lu and Susan's tent, and didn't stop... probably until we'd had a good joyous cry at his return. AND IT'S NOT LIKE WE DON'T KNOW THE STORY BETTER THAN, LIKE, OUR OWN NAMES. We're just woobies. Big, stupid woobies.

4-POTC TRAILER OMFG Y HELO THAR SCRUFFY.

and also,
5-HAS ANYONE ELSE HEARD ABOUT THIS TRISTAN UND ISOLDE MOVIE??!? Imma look it up later.

...I want to go watch Narnia again.
eee!

[ETA: RUPERT EVERETT WAS THE MOST AWESOME FOX. kthx.]

What do you mean about Aslan's voice? I thought it fit him very well (and not only because it was Liam Neeson, I swear).

I heard about the Tristan & Isolde movie when I went to watch Narnia. I just don't remember anything about it. However, you can go to this site for some pretty good information. *reads* I remember now!

I TOLD you Narnia rocked and yes Pirates looks interseting. The soundtrack is awesome for Narnia and YEs this was the third time I'd seen ads for Tristan and Isolde. But then I did work for the movie theatre...

Miss you. You'll have a christmas card when you get home I didn't know when you were leaving.

But but... Liam! Okay, so I know absolutely nothing about Narnia.. Never read the books.. never intend to (I'll stick with LotR).. but, I freaked out when we confirmed it had been Neeson during the credits.

Scruffy James depresses me.. thoroughly..

I downloaded the POTC trailer a couple weeks before Narnia came out... I swear I watched it 10 times in a row. *_*

Oh, and Rupert Everett was indeed a cute cute fox. :D

Narnia is on my list of things to do tomorrow, provided I'm still feeling okay.

And so you know, as I was awaiting the cruel and unusual torment known as a trip to the dentist this morning, I re-watched your Istanbul and Save Me vids (for close to the seven millionth time). They helped keep me happy and bouncy right up to the minute I had to sit in that chair. So this is a sort of verbose and roundabout thank-you for your creativity, imagination, and willingness to share what you make.

The BBC edition? *shudders* I watched that last year, and OMGWTFBEAVERCOSTUMES!

(I agree with you about Aslan's voice, by the way. It was all very yummy and Liamy, but it wasn't Aslan).

Re: Narnia - I cried too, even though I've read the books more times than I can count.

Re: "Hello thar, scruffy." OMFG was pretty much my reaction there too. And also, "How in the HECK did he get in such an... unwashed state?"

Re: Tristan and Isolde - Why had I not heard of this before? My first exposure was trailers in front of Narnia too. If you're like me and only saw the music video in front of Narnia, there's a really nice trailer online somewhere.

*SQUEE*

I have a lot of love for it on a nostalgic level, and ok the BBC Jadis TOTALLY wins at Creepy Witch-Ness, and also I haven't watched the sacrifice scene yet but I seem to recall it was a lot more emotional (yes, you can get more emotional than shaking, blurry-eyed sobs for like the whole time), but it's also very silly.

I wish there could be like... a hybrid Liam!Aslan and BBC!Aslan voiceover. because some of the lines, Liam won at. but... BBC Aslan still owns me.

and also, HAPPY BIRTHDAY YOU!

it does fit him fantastically. but... have you seen the other movies? there's just... a different, warmer, growlier sound that I love. that I, ok, grew up with. and to me, that is Aslan. but it's really only different from Liam's when you think about it, and... I'm also completely in love with Liam's performance.

I was raised on those books. I've been in love with Narnia since I was... since before I can possibly remember, actually. so it meant very much to me that this movie fit my impression of Narnia so very perfectly.

o rly? Scruffy makes me happy all over.

I liked the whole clean cut Commodore thing...

Although, I think I understand his quote about "crossdressing" now. I figured it wasn't entirely a joke. I had just hoped he meant.. well, 'dress' as opposed to 'shaggy pirate'.

I still wish that Sean Bean had spoken Aslan. He was being thought about, but then the company chose Liam Neeson. Ah well.

And I totally agree that Rupert Everett is most awesome - but in which movie was he??

Liam did an incredible job. I can't think of anyone I'd've rather heard.

Narnia. Voiced the Fox.
