so, this is how it went down.

last night I came wobbling into my room after falling asleep while playing Animal Crossing at Shorty (Pidge's new nickname)'s behest, only to find that my clock had gone all blinky and stupid when I'd bashed the power switch on the surge protector strip earlier that evening. so I set my alarm clock to the proper time, as determined by the Incorrigible's clock.

so I woke up this morning at 6:15 -- which was really 5:15, which explains why I was so fucking tired, because iirc I went to bed around 3. well, 3 ET, so 2. which still totally sucks, though not as hard. and after mashing my snooze button a few times, I went all "well fuck that" and changed my alarm to 7:15. which actually, this time, really was 6:15. and... well, the morning continued, in that same groggy sort of fashion, and you can guess where it ended up.

me, in the car, at the intersection that separates my subdivision from the hotel parking lot (yeah, I live about 1.2 miles away; that doesn't mean I get to work any earlier than anyone else; I usually come shrieking in at the last minute, in fact), looking at the car clock and going "is this right? is it really almost eight? well shit, yo." so at the light change I made a u-turn, went home, and entertained my father with the tale of my FANTASTIC DORKITUDE.

after which I proceeded to regale the lot of you, of course, who probably could have gone either way as far as hearing said Tale of Dorkitude is concerned.

OTOH, I now have time to ready the Black Pearl for her maiden voyage to work with me. :D
