The Morning Report
Feb. 3rd, 2005 09:40 am"This is the morning report;
Gives you the long and the short -
Every grunt, roar and snort -
Not a tale I distort
On this the morning report"
--Zazu, The Lion King
So I'm in 4 news e-mails... The New York Times, The Washington Post, USA Today, and 365gay.com. Here are some interesting things I found out this morning.
From The New York Times:
( President Bush's State of the Union Address )Because I can't not post the State of the Union Address
( Blaming The Messengers )Because I happen to fear impending Sneaky-UNenlightened-Despotism
( When The Sous-Chef Is an Inkjet )Because we needed something to lighten the mood and I think this is cool
From The Washington Post:
( House GOP Leaders Name Loyalist to Replace Ethics Chief )Because sometimes this kind of thing worries me.
From 365gay.com:
( New Anti-Gay Attack From Ed. Secretary: 'Schools Not Place For Gay Issues' )Remember our friend Margaret Spellings?
( Queer Beer Targets Europe's Gays )Because a little levity is a good thing, after all this America crap.
Nothing from USA Today this time. Mainly because I'd asked for plaintext e-mails, and they were giving me migraines. I just switched it to html this morning.
And that is all for -M's morning report.
Might actually get into doing this with some modicum of regularity-- it's kinda rewarding / cathartic. And it gets me to read the news and keep up on current events.
