So, I'm like, a total movie whore. Over the past... week, roughly, I've been to see the following (and then there's Kingdom of Heaven with
xzombiexkittenx on Thursday):
Sahara with the family,
The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy with Vivs,
and Batman Begins with Em.
Now, I would recommend all three without hesitation, of course (though Guide was a little short, but that's just because I wanted MORE, DAMNIT), but the one I will be going on about tonight is Batman.
Because... time for a Deep Dark SooperSekrit Sekrit Thing, here... I am a Batman fangirl. Now, not geekishly so, and you must realize I never have been a comic-book-reading kind of girl, but the Dark Knight has always held a special place in my heart, via movies and television, and roller coasters. When I was younger, I would run home from the bus stop to make sure I didn't miss any of whatever incarnation of Batman was on during the after-school specials. That meant "Batman: The Animated Series" in 1992 (though I was only, what, 5?), the 1997 "New Batman Superman Adventures", and, most recently, "Batman Beyond". Which rocked, and I so miss it. I was the kid who would go on Batman: The Ride at Six Flags Great America five times in one day just because she loved the staging area. I'm admittedly a little late in seeing Batman Begins, but rest assured that up till now I've watched every clip and trailer, read every synopsis, and squeed every squee I could get my dirty little mitts on. It was fantastic; now I have the soundtrack (mp3s, as stopgap until I can get the funds together to buy it properly).
And Em, I'm sorry for being a hopeless little distraction with my "whoosht! Batman!" I do love you.
Now, bed, so's I can work tomorrow.
[ETA: the Incorrigible goes back into the shop tomorrow... something with her wireless card bus drive... thingy. And other hardware, possibly... Not sure when she'll be coming home *wibble* Spare a thought in our favor?]
