Keep in mind I live in southeast Wisconsin... )

So after today's small mess, I was thoroughly cheered by a lovely tea with the girls of both periods of Jane Austen class. Also in attendance were some mothers, a photographer and writer for the Waukesha Freeman (in which I will be *cough* lightly featured, if the snip-snapping pictures and short interview are anything to go from), and the lovely wonderful Ms. Kim Wilson, author of Tea With Jane Austen. I learned much, and was enthralled. And want a copy of that book. And have her e-mail! (After my research hermitage is done with, I'll be hitting her up for a list of Most Likely and Useful Primary Sources, woot etc etc).

[livejournal.com profile] commodorified, you were right and I was right, about tea water temperature. For black tea, the water is supposed to be just-boiling, so that it bubbles as you pour it out. For green tea (which is the sort of tea whose directions I was quoting, as it is what [livejournal.com profile] gambling_pirate drinks and heck, I needn't read the directions to my own tea -- is not green tea; that tastes like grass), the water should be a little below boiling. In no case should it be reboiled, because the oxygen will have gone out and it will be flat. And in neither case ought one 'pour sufficient amounts of saltwater over enough tea and wait for a revolution'. Silly.

I should also add that this evening I was even more cheered by this, love and thankyous to the lovely lovely dear wonderful and did I mention lovely [livejournal.com profile] tiggothy. Ee!

Dorkmeister out.

This resolution was made before realization of the following:

Outside of AP courses I have two classes: US History and French 2. The last AP exam, the Macroeconomics, is May 12. And really, actually, it's a week between that and the AP exam before it -- English Literature on 5, again May.
And damme if I'm going to study for a straight week between APs EngLit and Macro.

In short...
The line that reads ...shall be voraciously resumed, read, viewed, and generally devoured with unbridled enthusiasm as of the 29th, May, 2005 ought to read ...shall be voraciously resumed, read, reviewed, and generally devoured with unbridled enthusiasm as of some day between 5th and 12th, but probably not so soon as the 5th because on the 7th there is State Solo Musical Theatre Contest, for which sleep must be had, May, 2005.

Thank you and my apologies.
