so, I've been kind of fringe-internet because OKAY WHAT KIND OF CRAZY PERSON DECIDES TO DIVE HEAD-FIRST INTO NUMBER THEORY AFTER LECTURES HAVE ALREADY BEEN GOING ON FOR A WEEK, AND ALSO I'M THE ONLY NON-MATH MAJOR IN THE CLASS? oh. yeah, me. *vbg* ... *wince*

in a nutshell, though, courses (E212 Shakespeare's History Plays, E264 The Irish Story, G101 Elementary German, M232 Number Theory) are going well and I am going insane. everything's totally right on schedule, yanno?

also, the vegetarian options for dinner tonight suck. and "Braised Beef with Root Vegetables & Blueberry Wine?" really kinda makes me wish I ate red meat D:

I may just nap/read catch-up number theory, hit SuperSnacks early and try to finish, um, SOMETHING (where something = WIP fic, of which I have two, perhaps three, and all were intended to be one-night things).

p.s. - Numb3rs S1 dvds arrived today. Rob Morrow puts evil, bad wrong thoughts in my head. NO SRSLY.

Braised Beef with Root Vegetables & Blueberry Wine

O_o Did they just...pull random words out of a hat for that one?

The other options are making me hungry, though. The pasta looks so yummy!

ya rly! even though I still don't quite know what I'm doing, it is FUN! and we got to differentiate something today, even though it's elementary number theory so we're technically not supposed to. shhhh~ :p

WE MISS YOU TOO *tackle*
but graduation is important. mama always told me, the best dissertation is a FINISHED dissertation.

eh. shows how spoiled I am that I really was not happy with anything on it :P but we're #1 in the nation for food, and I'm a bit of a brat re: cooking, so I have high expectations *g* usually, Bowdoin exceeds them grandly! maybe there'll be something yummy at SuperSnacks.

well, blueberries are a definite Maine Thing, and red-wine braised beef is a very nice dish which also generally includes root vegetables, so really it's not that surprising. kind of like a boeuf bourguignon, with a bit of a switch.

the pasta is a good fallback option, generally! I just did not feel like it tonight. will dine on nachos and gummi worms at SuperSnacks :D

Man, I'd kill for some of that whole wheat pasta... They sometimes have gluten-free pasta here, which is what I enjoy.

Ok...Number Theory doesn't sound as fun as...well, Charlie would make it. But---good luck with it.

I got my S1 dvds last friday that I got on eBay---I've been watching them too much. Last night I had a dream where Don and David and Mr. Eppes were singing Billy Joel to Charlie.

It was somewhat frightening.

LOLZ, first week is always kinda panic-y... LOLZ I remember going off to a Architectural Theory lecture once. the tutor asked who were non-aki students... the five outta 200 who raised their hands looked like deer in headlights XD

The first three I've never heard of. Eavan Boland is overwhelmingly not-good. Padraic Pearse was possibly a paedophile (though it can't be proven). Irish History/Literature drives me up the wall. We're force-fed too much of it over here.

number theory is REALLY FUN but REALLY A CHALLENGE. which pretty much just adds to the REALLY FUN.

you know what, I once had a dream where I alternated between being Don and Charlie and sometimes myself and our/their house had no roof and Alan had a secret cheddar-cheese-involving recipe for chocolate chip cookies and I/Charlie had to figure out the rate of change of a puddle in order to fight off the GIANT SCARY MUD MONSTER, but that failed as it turned out that said monster was in fact controlled by a part-time soccer mom and witch who wanted to buy the house (which, as I said before, had no roof, so what the hell?). your dream sounds pretty funky, too o_o less blatantly insane, more ... what the hell?

ok.......no more eating whatever it was you ate before sleeping. :)

And I think that they were singing Billy Joel to Charlie in order to get him to do something about Amita, but I'm not sure.

Numb3rs sounds really cool and I have this urge to go watch about six episodes. This is probably because I am a MATH NERD at a school full of people who have brains that don't actually make them think about forces, vectors, angles, and all other manners of nerdy physical causes every day.

Is Em a nerd? Oh yesss...

hahahaha...at least I've never dreamed about my brother as a taco/burrito thing. I have dreamed about shooting him with a bow and arrow, but i think that was more a daydream i wished would come true :)

And Charlie and anyone really. Charlie just needs some loving. Though, I suppose they all do.

And no, I don't know if Numb3rs is approved/approvable.
