This was the word list I used:
take, restore, recalling, cue, imprisoning, reread, disappears, vouch, minorities, mechanism

A cold, California night had overtaken the quiet valley. The small town situated there was eerily silent, with the exception of the sounds coming from the bar at the end of the crumbling road. inside the bar were most of the town's inhabitants, few as they were, slowly making their lives seem less dreary on cheap beer and tequila.

The only object that one might note, amongst all of the somber décor, was an old pool table in the corner. The woodwork, once ornate, was now chipped and cracked. The cloth on the table itself was stained and worn. The cues were all warped and twisted, almost to the point of being unusable. Yet, after long day and a few drinks at night, what took place on that table was all that the locals cared about. It was there that they proved themselves, settled old scores, and restored their honor if need be.

Tonight it was a familiar match between the bartender and a migrant worker who returned to the ranch in the foothills every year. They played often because neither had anything to gain or to lose; neither had any money to speak of, and neither held any sort of grudge against the other. The other locals let them play because they were the only ones who were able to take the twisted cues, the chipped balls, the treacherous bumpers, and the curved table, and still play as if all things were flawless.

As the smoke in the room drifted to the ceiling, dimming the bare bulb that hung above the pool table, the bartender racked the balls into position, while the migrant worker, after some deliberation, chose the cue he always chose. After the bartender removed the rack from the table, the migrant worker broke the balls apart, producing a sound that echoed through the valley. It was going to be a good game.
