themeletorOkay I just applied at Sax -- still have not changed out of the 'ZOMG lookit me go jobflirtinghunting!' corset -- and have some brown rice going on the stove for the purpose that it will become mum's dinner (um, along with some other things).
Last night checked out Little Shop of Horrors and The West Wing: S2 from the library; watched LSoH and half of the first ep of WWS2; went to bed with hope of sleeping, could not sleep, read Paladin of Souls until 5am; slept through alarm and therefore Jane Austen class (nyrrgh). This evening Em and I, and possibly Pidge, are going out to see Star Wars blablablaTHREE. In my case, more out of a sense of duty than anything; we know I'm not big on sci-fi. Like, at all. Para nada. *le sigh* we shall see. At least it'll be a nice, escape-y time with Em.
WRT laptop, it went in today and they say it needs a new keyboard; I say no shit. It also needs a new dvd/cd drive, but fuck if I'm going to add that to the bill; may as well live off mp3s and my honest-to-Frank dvd player until I can foot the bill myself -- sometime around second year of college after collecting birthday and xmas money. At any rate, the good news is: *dancy-dance* they're not going to have to fizz out my data (see, we thought for a while there it was *really* fried, and I was up Shit Creek without a skiff, much less a goldarned paddle to speak of)!
Things are looking good, if only because I can successfully ignore the bad-ish tinge constantly encroaching.
