Before I go out to have my own fun on trains and public transportation...

I want to send out a prayer, strong wishes, and lots of love to everyone on my flist and off it who has been hurt, frightened, or just rather shaken by this recent attack. My family and I were discussing at Late Breakfast how it didn't numerically compare to 9-11, but the point is that that is irrelevent. Lost lives, broken, scared people, and rattled securities. There are some things in which numbers don't do justice (see the Stalin quote on my e-mail sig). My meager prayers, the best I can do, are going up for all whose lives this has disrupted.

And tiggothy, thank you for the reassuring updates. It is so good to hear that you, purpletom, lolita_stardust, and co. are doing all right. Please let it continue to be that way.

the phrase emotional rollercoaster doesn't begin to cover it. my friends and I are unhurt, to say we are fine would be taking it too far.
