themeletorI have this incredible craving to watch Red Eye. Because thinking about it was the only thing that got me through today.
I got on my plane for DC, waited half an hour, they taxi'd us out, captain announced an hour and a half delay. Then another one. Then they brought the beverage cart around. Took us back to the gate. Unloaded us. And we all got to stand in a line and figure out where the hell we were going for the night and when.
Really fucking long story short, I'm actually flying to Philly tomorrow at 11:45, and then from Philly to Milwaukee and I get in at 3:15. Means JASNA's SNAFU. And the employee who was supposed to be taking care of me ran away and left me sitting in the terminal from 8 to 11, reading Batman and calling da and Kim Wilson and buying a bag of honey-mustard & onion pretzels from the overpriced vending machine. Finally I found my quarry, or rather another emp found her for me, and she finalized my reservations and now I'm at the Embassy Suites. And I have never been so appreciative to have someone call me "Miss Nugent" and open the door for me and take my bags and say, "My pleasure," in all my life. I nearly cried I was so happy to walk down the clean, lucious, hotel-smelling hallway.
And yet, I am still fucked against a wall sideways when it comes to JASNA AGM tomorrow. I'm going to call Kim when I get in, and we'll put together a plan to see if I can hit some displays Sunday.

have a headache.
(but what I wouldn't have given to spot a certain sinister Irish gentleman around the Portland Jetport!)
