Sick has not been Good since I was in the third grade and faked an asthma attack every other day to get out of writing Journals after lunch (I hated writing Journals -- I could never focus enough to put two words together and always ended up one of those kids who wrote "very, very, very, very, very," on three lines at once just to take up page space).
Today, Sick is waking up and taking an aleve because I know before I even get out of bed that I'm going to need it*. Sick is putting on my corset because it will intensify The Cramps so much that I can just ignore them out of fury and spite. Sick is being grateful for the couch in the barn-attic where we have Women in Religion, and being furious at my soup for being good (red onion soup) in spite of the fact that I can't stomach it. Sick is taking another aleve before dinner, and having The Cramps hit an hour later anyway. Sick is punishment for drinking juice from concentrate with dinner, therefore Sick is also Violently Ill**.
Last of all, Sick is shivering, wet, and covered in Allergic Reactions, no thanks to the cold, wind, and rain.
Sick is probably not getting my editing done tonight.
Damnit.
