Couldn't get the bed through the door with the headboard still on; bedframe/spring thing was jammed; bed was turned upside down; I was perched on the end (which in fact was NOT stupid because if MY WEIGHT had started working anything loose I was all set to catch myself and leap right off).
What I was not expecting was for Marie to deal the thing an ALMIGHTY THWACK, and down I go, crash flat on my back smash right into the frame/wigglysharp thick wire s-shaped thingies. It was pretty exciting. Hurt like hell, but I didn't notice at first because I, being me, was cracking the hell up.
Marie: oh my GOD Melody, I'm so sorry, are you ok? You like gave me a HEART ATTACK oh my GOD oh my GOD.
Me: [laughing] I'm fine. Help me up? --Oh - only -- don't pull on that arm. Yeah thanks...ohshit.
Her: Are you sure you're okay?
Me: Yeah, totally -- hey at least we got the bed apart! [still laughing] ...Um I think I need to lie down.
So I bruised (hah, yeah, pulverized) my funnybone-nerve-thingy which, if you ever get the opportunity to do that, PASS IT UP. Whole chunk of the skin on my left forearm is numb, swollen, and green, and also it took me about 3 hours to stop being dizzy/nauseous from that pain kinda thing. At least I have feeling in my left pinky/ring finger(s) now, though. There's also a nice bright pinky-purple splotch on the point of my elbow, and another one on my upper thigh. And right above my tailbone. And this one spot on my back. And the back of my knee. THE BED KICKED MY ASS, OKAY.
And I kind of wish the people I beat up in stories were as big of weenies as I am (not wrt pain tolerance, because I've got lots of that -- I wouldn't have slowed down a bit for the bruised nerve if it weren't for the fact that it was making me dizzy -- but more wrt the fact that I have a wimpy body. I'm tough, but that's more sheer stubborness than strength) because then I'd have good writing fodder here.
...although...Jonathan's got a similar body type... *brainderail*

George took me to see P&P3 tonight. Also gave me free (as in he paid for) comics this afternoon -- Batman #647 and Gotham Knights #71, the two I was ever-so-anxious to see. He's a good one. I like him.

Vivs is hopefully going to snag me the BA concert cd. With some very key begging, I may also get some Manheim Steamroller from the family library. Which would be nice, because I MISS IT TO THE POINT OF TEARS.
