Dec. 2nd, 2004 04:39 pmUghughughugh... Hey, that sorta goes hughughug in there. Coolness.
So. Yeah. Some days? Really suck. But yanno.
Yesterday, for example, really, REALLY sucked. But that's past. What's fab, however, is that I found a dvd in my mailbox! <3
jenlan. Mmmm, Julie Andrews. And luv, I totally made you a Christmasy JackDav icon after I watched Millie, but when I tried to save it my laptop DIED and ATE the PSD. Rar.
Today, though, was actually pretty cool. The day started out with a new CD for the car, thanks to Vivs' music and my laptop. It includes the Eiffel 65 remix of "Who Let The Dogs Out," which is just such an incredibly happy song that it can't not make your day. History wasn't actually that bad, because I took my in-class essay test -- otherwise I would've totally zonked out in class. As it was I got to compare Young America to bread dough. (Yes, I am a genius; you may bow.) ...Zen zere vas a free. I think I spent that buggering about online trying to find where I'd put PtT, because I'd thought I'd e-mailed it to myself. But I hadn't, because I'm a sporkwad. We started watching Death of a Salesman in AP English (I dozed through most of it because my sinuses wanted to eat my soul).
Most fun part of my day, though, was spending the second half of lunch practicing "I Don't Remember Christmas" with
gin_vork. Awesome. All that belting seriously exorcised my bad mood. And you know what, I think we were really good, so Creepy Steeve can just shove it. Because he may 'have perfect pitch' but his tone is like nails on a chalkboard.
O.O
.::goes to choir rehearsal::.
.::comes back::.
...Now where was I? Oh yes. Singing with Vork. Very cool, and honestly we kicked general arse. We'll blow them away on Sunday, I know it.
I was going to babble about choir, but I'm thinking this is enough rambling on, so:

Icon!

FROGS!!!
Date: 2004-12-03 02:51 am (UTC)You should see my garden. We put in a man made little pond a couple years after we bought this house. Then we expanded the garden out from the front of the house to about an extra 5 feet. I have two little frogs in the pond that float in a boat. One's playing a little ukalaile (sorry.. can't spell that) and the other is rowing. CUTE! I have a toad-abode that last year we had an actual TOAD IN! A REALLY LIVE LIVING BREATHING CROAKING FROG-LIKE TOAD! LOL!!!
I was sooooo happy. We lit up the pond with a spot light by the decorative rocks, and a submersible light in the water. Attracts plenty of bugs for our resident toad. He comes back every summer to sit and dine on the little insects.
I LOVE FROGS! Oh.. and I have a frog splash that sits under the downspout. All the frogs are inner-tubing down the slope!! SWEET!
And I always thought I was a bit of a nut for liking frogs.. but now I'm not alone!!!
Ta!
Jackfan2 who is rambling and being absolutely manic.

Date: 2004-12-03 04:07 pm (UTC)I do know what to get you for Christmas, though, eh? Something froggy.
(No, actually, I'm broke. O.o)
That frog pond sounds very cool, though. Lovely, and quite fun.
Re: FROGS!!!

Date: 2004-12-03 05:19 am (UTC)and <3 to you too! Poor laptop! Is there still signs of life? *carefully pats it*
Glad today went better than yesterday for you...looks like our past two days reversed roles on, huh? ^_^ Heh, I'd love to hear you sing one day...you should try posting a little ditty or something...would so listen! ^^; I still like to sing lots too...but since the piano got moved to a less convenient location and hasn't been tuned in over a year, I haven't had a chance to play and sing or anything...wish I could tho'

Date: 2004-12-03 04:11 pm (UTC)Mm, yes, but I'm too mad at / scared of PS for the time being to actually dare to make anything... >.<
Yes, but that's convenient, because you cheered me on my off day, and I tried to do the same for you. Bowie this afternoon, yes? And oh, no, I don't think I will. Because I'm really not that good. Unless there's a recording made of our duet; that I might put up. Singing is fun, though.

Date: 2004-12-03 04:16 pm (UTC)Ooh, those commentaries are loads of fun. But I know what you mean-- in my world, there's Jack Sparrow, Jack Davenport, AND Jack Aubrey.
I have a theory about the letter J in first names for men...

Date: 2004-12-03 11:05 am (UTC)Singing. Cool. I'd soooo love to be able to sing.

Date: 2004-12-03 04:19 pm (UTC)It was an innocent little cutesy pic before you came and noticed the Sparrington... now all I can think is thet Green has his hand on Grey's arse.
.....YOUR FAULT!
I'm not very good. But I've heard you sing; you're not bad. (Even drunk XD)
(no subject)
Date: 2004-12-03 04:56 pm (UTC)That's an excellent reason I didn't even think of! But it's a good one!
Green has his hand on Grey's arse.
Considering that I'd have said James is Green, that is indeed a shocking relevation. However the colour contrast is also an important element. (it's a funny aspect of drawing Sparrington)
Oh, that little sea shanty... I can't hit one proper note, but one doesn't hear it when I'm making something up. When I'm supposed to sing something existing.... uh, oh, take cover!

Date: 2004-12-03 11:03 pm (UTC)XDD I agree though, James is the green frog. But who says he can't be the forward one? I always like to play on the color contrast in my writing of them (in the few actual 'scenes' I've written). I bet it's even more striking when you're drawing the pair than writing.
Well still, it was pretty.

...
Hee hee! Those are frogs! .::dances::.
Wow I'm overtired.

Date: 2004-12-05 12:34 am (UTC)No, I think it's because of the PotC fandom. Right, guys? I make a point to comment on almost every fic that pops up at any of my fic communities, so I make a lot of contacts.
It's different on DA as well, because the point of DA is the art, not the journal.
But I could send D-M your way; she's on DA.
<3 yes, frogs.
