I think it looks really nice! The colors do go well with the icon, trust me on that.
Speaking of layouts, not to be a spoilsport or anything, but your dude on this layout is still wearing a santa hat. He at least deserves a clover for March if he's going to holiday themed. Or not. *shrugs*
