For your first question, I said base it on the UK movie poster, but I almost said something else altogher. My main thing is that it look convincing and clear like it's a real DVD cover/movie poster, not a mishmash of images... and it's easier to do that by basing it on an actual poster, though if you picked one central image that was different but kept it simple, I'd still like it.

I answered your second question with "Sounds silly," but I'll add the caveat that I wouldn't mind seeing "Church of St. Kitten" or "Phantom Ladies" or another clever thing that didn't actually use the word "fan," and was in small text. Something small for those in the know would be fun.

I have to say I think it's totally awesome that your doing this. I saw the cover for the DVD on Amazon and felt totally jipped. Just...SO not kewl, yeah?

I voted for the US movie poster but I adore the UK one, so I don't mind on that at all. I just wanna cover up that sad excuse for a DVD cover...*frowns and flicks tasteless cover*

I still haven't gotten to see this. I didn't go when it was in the theaters because my sister wasn't finished with the book (and still isn't, grrr). Now it comes out tomorrow and my mom won't rent it for me because she owes blockbuster money and I don't have the money to just buy it. Fie it all!

Anyway, this is a totally awesome idea. I saw the cover and was just disappointed. It's just... I don't know how to explain it. And I never thought to do this. I have another DVD my sister bought me that she didn't know had different covers and I got stuck with the one I hate. I'm going to follow your lead and make my own.

I think having "Church of St. Kitten" on it somewhere is a must. Just my opinion though. ;D
