You may notice I have changed my icon.

However much I loveloveLOVE the holiday pirates icon, it just wasn't working anymore. So I came up with this one.

I don't think I'll keep it long, but it'll at least hang out at my fic lj where I can actually keep happy amounts of icons.

In other news, I have a paper to write today, all about existentialism. This may or may not be a good thing in ficland. I also have icons to make, that I keep putting off, and I ought to kick myself silly for not making them. (And I have a chapter to beta... I'm still holding a grudge against Yahoo for messing that up, you know.)

Off to sing at mum's church. Happy Sunday.

Why do all your icons make me giggle uncontrollably? You must be amazing.

well f**k popup-blocker.

nah, just goofy XP

sometimes I get in artsy-fartsy moods, and then I actually put -effort- into my icons...

but then they're not funny.

Sacrifices must be made for the sake of humour! We need to have priorities!
And effort is highly overrated, because if you put effort into icons you end up staying up all night and only have one icon to show for it. Not that it happens to me often *cough*
(perhaps amazingly goofy?)

Because limes are the main defense against scurvy, goof. You oughta know.

Of course, have all the tequila you want, luv ;)

I do know that - but oranges work well, too. Or even just regular lemons. They aren't as bitter. Enough vitamin C to keep me from scurvy.

All the tequila I want? That could end...interesting.

Sure, but limes were the most famous fallback. And... they're greener.

If you're drunk on watch I'll have you keelhauled. (XP)

That really got into your head, didn't it? (I'll freely admit that I'm grinning like a fool because of that) I could collect experiences with it, come to think of it. (and I did once dive under a a ship from bow to stern, just without rope. And it was a tiny sloop with flat (english word?) keel.

Speaking of nautical maneuvers, I have a question as to your professional opinion of a smut scene that has implanted itself into my head quite firmly when watching Horatio Hornblower. Will you be on YM later today?

Yes, it did... but it was SO GOOD!! Gah I want to read it again now. Darn you! And whoah, how'd you do that? That's like... keelhauling without a rope! (*used that phrase in PtT and deathly fears now that it wouldn't be the Really Bad Thing James and Jack agreed it would have been*)

Of course I'll be on YM. But not until 4 pm my time... which is what, around 11 pm yours? If you think that would be a bit too late, toss me an e-mail and we'll go back and forth that way.

Yay HH! I knew you'd not be able to resist.

Oh, it would be the Really Bad Thing under any larger ship's keel - just the cute little sport sloops like the one I sailed with last summer are perhaps 10 metres long. The keel is really shallow (a sword is used instead to minimize leeway because the Austrian lakes don't have quite the water level the sea does.) So really, diving under it is not really a great feat to accomplish.

As for the time - it's fine - I'll be up late because I have to finish an animation for an university project. Thanks!
