2: come back into the computer lab and bounce around fairestcat's Hornblower Recs for All Occasions.

Somewhere in there I have:
breakfast in the caf (probably as soon as I finish this post)
Jane Austen class -- or rather, lunch and watching Austensquee (hah, we're such losers)
chorus, because we have a concert TOMORROW NIGHT and Sam has not been here since last Thursday and we are so not prepared.

Important things before I zip off again --

Anyone who, like me, missed the Keira and Orlando bit on Good Morning America this ... erm, morning ... can find the .wmv of it here. My thanks to fabu, who posted a 'cap and directed me to the relevant post on arrrrr, which contained the link I just gave. Um, twice now.


The senior dinner is this evening. I'll either be really emotional, or, well, really bored. If bored, then will take pen to napkin and give free rein to whatever muse(s) want(s) it. How fun! (don't be expecting anything)

Still don't have internet for more than an hour a night. My schedule for tonight, if you want to catch me, is: 4:30 - 5:00, and 9:30 - 10:00. Both of those are Central Time.

Congratulations! Your letter has been awarded Honorable Mention in the Jane Austen Leigh Young Writers' Contest. Truly, you captured Austen's style in your creation. Thank you for participating in the J. David Grey Young Writers' Workshop this Saturday.

--the letter goes on to say that on the morning of Saturday, October 8, myself and the other eleven winners will be presented at the Jane Austen Society of North America Annual General Meeting, and afterwards are free to attend workshops of our choosing. In other words, I'm going to the JASNA convention! For free! Woot!
