After work yesterday I zipped over to Ju's for a birthday / grad get-together in her back yard. The food was quite nice; the Asian coleslaw was beyond compare. The company was lovely, as usual, despite the fact that I would have liked to talk shop a bit with young Admiral James (and only thirteen years old, if memory serves; the boy is a prodigy!). The ring-frisbee five-hundred was absolutely brutal, though. The powder-monkey (Michael, seven years if I recall correctly) is quick on his feet, and three-year-old Peter throws a mean dead-or-alive. I was thoroughly schooled. We finished with a lively Virginia Reel / Sir Roger de Coverley, and as I left the rest were just heading in for some time at the pianoforte.
In short, I love my supporting cast and will miss them terribly when I go to Maine.
And now, to the grocery store!
