themeletor: close-up of a cupcake in the grass against a blue sky (classic)
I present to you my song offering of the day.

It is not piratical (I can do that, though, if people want. I have much of the old-school sea shanties).
It is the audio to the newly snagged (if still gigungous) Breakfast on Pluto trailer. It is also just a damned haunting and beautiful song.

Dusty Springfield's The Windmills of your Mind

I think I might just barely make it 'till November. *twitchy*
...*watching trailer again*

Anyway, great song.

Oh, also, because I said I might:
FAURE! (Cantique de Jean Racine)

...um...
Ok this is damned addictive. Have some more:
Woo Hoo by The 5.6.7.8's
Phantom of the Opera techno remix
Carbon Leaf - American Tale
Shanty for the Arethusa - The Decemberists (actually boatish!)

There's a lot more where those came from. Who knows, I may do this semi-regularly. It would make some use of my roughly 10 gig of music...

Am I still listening to that song? --Yes. Yes I am.

I am in a fantastic mood.

I stayed awake through all of FH
-we started with reaction/discussion of last night's protest/attendance of Mike Heath's talk
-I wore my corset
*ironically,
-I did not take my meds with breakfast

The weather is enchanting
-this campus really is one of the most gorgeous during the foliage change
-I got inside literally a second (maybe two) before the rain started
*also ironically,
-it's drizzly and foggy, and strangely charming

I feel so very loved
-mail came in from [livejournal.com profile] gryphons_lair and [livejournal.com profile] ima_pseudonym
-the postcard is lovely, the mailroom personnel said they were thankful for the earlier "look out for flying mounties" warning, and my bulletin board is a lot less dull now *grin* perfect
*ironically,
-I had to hide Batman: The Man Who Laughs under its envelope because it was scaring me *grin* perfect

---due to the overwhelming unsuccess of last night's song post, I think I shall... do it again tonight. it makes me feel productive, if nothing else. yaye---

*cough*

No, I will not vid 'Fly, Robin, Fly,' I've said this to myself already, and the fact that it just popped up on the playlist of the approximate Breakfast on Pluto soundtrack (I love you [livejournal.com profile] kittenbraden!) is no excuse. In fact, it is even worse. And no-one is to mention the PlutoxBatman 'The Other Sort of Catwoman' crossover from HELL'S CRACK DEALERS.

Why am I the one with the muse issues? Is it the creativity ADD? Or just... ...? *SIGH*

--anyway. I am in a supremely good mood. Again. Still. Despite. Whatever. They had corn chowder at dinner. And some silly cinnamon-hazelnut flavored coffee blend called 'Yankee Doodle' ... which despite the ridiculous name is quite yummy *slurp-slurp* I'll read Batman: The Man Who Laughs in bed (which, ok, doesn't sound like a bright idea, knowing how much I love letting myself get creeped the hell out by the Joker, but ... well, bed is where Batman is. Fluffy!Batman in the dark and right before sleep is better than no Batman even in daylight well before bedtime)

Took a spazload of caps for [livejournal.com profile] p_braden_update, though chances are that anyone who'd care about that is already in the community, but... I just wanted to pretend I was productive.

I am liking this Handel. Makes me want my chorales bach. Back. Um.
Coffee, anyone?

Oh, and since I am YSI'd out, I'm not putting more songs up until tomorrow. For what little difference that makes XD

You are hereby free of my nattering.

[ETA: Shite! I missed the flag sale in Smith. That means no pirate flag, no Irish decor. ...well, I still have my laptop shamrock, and I get a tricorne when I go home. Just as well, then; I really shouldn't have spent the money.]
