dude. doing one's actual homework and/or having a moderately social life at college is very time-consuming. (especially when one lives in a house with, like, a dozen other friendly people who are actually nice and low-key and don't drink, and have amazing chem-free parties where I feel valued and shiny and unthreatened and happy. you guys! happy!)
just. that's basically my summary of and excuse for the past ... time since the last time I posted. yanno.
and then today I've spent far too much time coughing and wandering around in the bone-cold, wet rain and talking about sex and unveiling and James Joyce (why do all my English courses always intersect weirdly, even when they're about completely different periods and genres? and why is it always, always, always about sex?). and far too little time sleeping. I tossed and turned all last night. so now I'm achey, exhausted, coming down with something, and by all rights I kind of think I should be dead right now. but no, I still have fifty pages of lurid overpunctuated punk-Gothic literature to read tonight. then bed.
somebody remind me to buy some fucking CONDITIONER. *headdesk*
[ETA: not, obviously, that I have any problem at all with drinking. it's just the college booze party mentality that makes me nervous, and being totally free from that is SUCH A RELIEF. ♥]
