testosterone boys and harlequin girls
Sep. 18th, 2007 04:43 pmso, this afternoon I've been feeling kind of emotionally icky (it's a mystery o_o), but what that meant was I decided that what I really needed while doing my reading was some COMFORT MUSIC :D
enter A Fever You Can't Sweat Out.
and you guys, I've missed this shit. I used to listen to Panic! EVERY DAY during the summer. shut up. no, shut up. yes. ♥
so anyway, there's the part where I just keep hearing the bass line, for some reason, possibly connected to my thwarted summer attempt to learn bass guitar (still gonna try though! as soon as I get the chance! when I go home for Christmas and can steal daddy's bass, or possibly sooner!), and my first though is HOORAY JON WALKER! (because in my brain it goes like this: "hooray bass guitar? HOORAY JON WALKER!") and then I remember it's not actually JWalk on the album.* AND THEN I REALIZE THAT IT'S DEFINITELY GONNA BE JWALK ON THEIR NEXT ALBUM.
and that? that is full-on awesome.
.:: prances off to read more essays about horribly punctuated punk-Gothic novels written by teenage boys ::. ... .:: for which, you know, this music is probably actually kind of PERFECT ::.
*this makes me sound kinda stupid. um. no, okay, I'm totally fully versed in the whole Brent thing. and yeah. the point is just that I get SO EXCITED ABOUT JON WALKER, it makes me forget all over the place. you understand.
btw, a note regarding my Current Music -- I am so happy Brendon learned to support his voice and someone tore Ryan away from the electronic ridiculousness before they ruined their chances of becoming famous sparkly gay circus rock stars. OH, BOYS.
