this has been in the planning for a while, as those of you who have been exposed to my protracted and extensive nattering on the subject will know (hi![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
wolby!). first I wanted seagull wings, my sister's design, but those fell through (for now!) for lack of time/funding. so this is what I got instead:
two very simple forget-me-nots under my left collarbone. in memory of my grandmother, and also just pretty. I like them a lot and am *very* happy with how they turned out -- I did/do waffle a little about whether a more detailed version would have been better, but I always come back to really liking these. they're simple and unassuming, but don't back down and aren't floofy. I like that.
I also got this, which you've already probably seen in the previous post. BTW, IT MAKES ME VERY HAPPY. :D

in conclusion- UGH, IT WAS AWESOME AND I WANT TO DO IT AGAIN. I can totally see how these get addictive. :S
now, as I am sitting in front of the a/c vent and shivering-cold, I need to go thaw out in the sunshine before dinner. ilu ALL, and hopefully when I get my baby iBook back from i.t. it will be happy and functional. (this is unlikely. BUT THERE IS ALWAYS HOPE. I have good people on the job.)

Date: 2008-05-08 06:33 am (UTC)seriously though, it was an incredible experience (minor pain kink notwithstanding) and it's really quite striking to look at these and realize that they are never coming off; they're *a part of me*. I mean, even a piercing you can take out, or change the jewelry. this is different, and it's a really interesting thing to come to terms with. in short, I am a HUGE FAN.
