Tired of skipping and tripping around livejournal in search of possible comments, maddened by the fact that school servers have cut ties with Yahoo! Mail, and realizing that this drastic act may have all sorts of really CRAPPY consequences...

I have decided that tonight is the night I switch to my G-mail.


Brace yourselves for screaming.

Who KNOWS what sort of things I could lose, abuse, break, or explode in the process. And none of that is limited to my laptop, realize.

EDIT: done. and there was much screaming. and I'm still not happy with it, but it's a stopgap for as long as Computer Guy Steve is being dumb.

I'll cross my fingers for you.

And I know how you feel, to an extent. My school blocked Yahoo mail after my friends and I abused the privilege, thoroughly, sophomore year.

Even the teachers are complaining!

It's just that Steve the Computer Guy hasn't a clue how to fix it, atm.

First rule of any business: don't trust the IT department to know how to fix the computers. Usually the person who knows how to fix them works in a different department...

I logged onto the school computers for the first time just before we broke up for holidays.

It was... odd. First time for 3 1/2 years, except for occasional use of internet cafes, that I've not had admin privs.

Plus it's Win2k which I've not used in aaaaages. Took me forever to remember how to change ones password in that situation, lol.

Anyhow, hope it all gets sorted soon, hun.
