Oct. 9th, 2004 03:48 pmThis is an entry that actually -doesn't- have a PtT notice involved. Because I need to rant, and feel safe in the knowledge that no-one reads my personal lj anyway. But in case you are; don't panic. I've got 16 in the works, savvy? Good. Because now I need to vent.
My week has been TOTAL... yeah. One of those words I just don't feel right typing at my mom's office computer at St. Paul's. Let's see if I can recount it... Monday. Was... (wow, was that College Morning? Seems so far away...) So yeah, I guess it was. And that was the day I got the fantastic news that basically ruined my week. Bowdoin trip, November 11-14. (Assuming I can get the essay done and the papers mailed out... O.o) But... thing is... midsummer Night's Dream. Performances: November 13 and 14. And... yeah, kinda tough for me to perform when I'm in Maine. So I've got to drop out of the play. ...Suffice to say Sam didn't much like that idea. (But then again, as I told Mum and Amy on Thursday, "What kind of idiot, what UTTER FOOL, would expect me to turn down a trip to one of the top liberal arts colleges and the scholarship that could well follow, all for the sake of a HIGH SCHOOL PLAY??--oh right, Mr. Belich.") So I told him on Wednesday, which is also the day that I got my locker decorated for the first time in FOUR YEARS, which sounds like it would have been great, except for the fact that this was the year that I completely forgot to decorate his... And Wednesday was window day, which i hadn't been expecting, so I just kind of... broke down crying. Not cool. Then... crap happened in the car on the way home, which we can attribute to my brother, twit that he is... Oh, and Wednesday I had also lost my keys. like... completely. Still don't know where they are. But Da gave me his key to borrow. So we've established that Wednesday sucked.
Thursday... Thursday REALLY sucked. First off, I started the day be losing DA's key... so there was NO way for me to drive to school... and long story short in the end I decided to stay home with Vivs while Da drove Pidge to school then went to work. I tore up my purse looking for the keys... they weren't there. So I just did a crapload of catchup work, then went downstairs and took a nap with PotC playing in the background (yeah, one good thing, I finally found my PotC dvds again.) and was awakened at 2 by Mum telling me to "GO TO SCHOOL!!" ... well damn, it was 2:00. But she refused to listen to reason, so I got in the car and drove to school, signed in at the office for the last 15 minutes. Which I spent not going to Macro, which would have been a pathetic fowl-drowning waste of time anyway, but venting to Vork (there are some times I'm really glad for that kid, let me tell you) and throwing my pen at him instead. Then he had to go to soccer, and it was just li'l ol' me... so I went into the senior room, made a cup of tea, had a Nestles chocolate...strawberry...thingy or two (And Aquafina proves his worth once again -- the second time being when he played the PotC theme on that wierd plastic excuse for a maybe-sorta-oboe thing in Physics. The first being when he played basketball on the Sophomore trip.) and did some word-crunching on PtT. Which made me feel better, but only turned out some 1-200 words, so nothing I can post yet. But they're nice words! So anyway, once Pidge's rehearsal was over, I got him in the van and we set off to pick up Mum for choir.
We missed choir.
And yet, managed -not- to miss aNOTHER BLOODY CAR!!
Yes, I crashed the car. I crashed the damn car. As if the drama-Bowdoin-Belich-Spanish fiasco weren't enough, I had to go and GET IN AN ACCIDENT! Sometimes I -really- hate being so stupid. Don't ask me for more of the story; if you're someone I would have told it to, chances are that you already know. Yes I got a ticket, no it wasn't really my fault, yes I cried, no no-one was injured, and yes I feel like sh*t about it. That is all. And no the car's not written off.
Friday was Homecoming Friday. Hence... sucked but only sort of. I got to whack trees, so there you go. The Triumphant Small Victory of Senseless Destruction for Charity. And we got b*tched at for singing on the bus, but whatever. I sang 'Heart of Oak' under my breath for the rest of the trip, nyah. And then we went the wrong way, and there was much sniping and snarling and threats of Steak Dinners with Mrs. Koenings. *shudder* Upon the return to school, I actually -decorated- Aquafina's locker, then got shuttled down to the stupid pep rally ... which proved more boring and time consuming than I had anticipated, and utterly sucked. D*mn BA fight song.
Today was SATs. And it was supposed to be Homecoming, but I just don't have it in me to spend another night with -people-. So I'm going to stay home and do more catchup work, and write PtT. A much better use of my time, in my opinion.
Hope you all enjoyed this little rant... oh, and newsflash: I have Trilian now, even on Vivs' computer, so that means AIM, MSN, and Y (also ICQ and all the rest, but I don't use those yet.) are open for use. For anyone to whom that would make a difference. I think my info for those three can be found here... if not, then I'll change it so that it is so.
...endrant.
