themeletorThis site here has a great selection of period maps -- you know, the old kind where the countries look all funky and you have no idea what the names are nowadays -- and it's quite user-friendly. AFAIK there's no way to search for maps from a given timeframe, but I've only been poking around there for 20 minutes or so. Keyword search would probably work, I guess.
Anyhow, before I head for home, just thought this was a cool thing to share, as I've been getting muchly questioned recently as to whether I know where people could find maps as they were seen then.
