Despite all of today's *grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr*-ness

(though Tigg, for your information you're the vocalization of "*bounce*" -- which I suppose is to be expected. at any rate, it kept me running for the rest of the day, so THANK YOU *heart*)

that eventually faded into lots of naps and a lightning storm, as well as PotO at Em's:

Mr Elliot STILL managed to sneak into my head.

A Letter Unwritten
Wtf?

Ah well.

Now, tWW on a makeshift bigscreen (the living room curtain)!

Ooh. Wait. This, I did at 4:fiftysomething this morning. I haven't reread it since, but it's my 'taking a kid out into the yard and shooting it' (or: just-after-finishing-the-book) So, I have just finished Paladin of Souls. Of course, as the chirruping birds remind me, I didn't... actually, sleep... but-that's-beside-the-point.

Here's the rundown, in veryveryshort because not a lot of people care, et cetera.

Firstly, I liked Paladin a lot more than I did Chalion. For reasons of focus, organization, hardcover, and, okay let's face it, the dudes. They were hawt *g* (shut up it's 5 in the morning and I am a teenage girl). Would say more; don't want to babble. But one is free to ask, I suppose; one always is.

Secondly, what The Curse of Chalion did for the concept of fate/providence, Paladin of Souls did for love; they both hit hard on the sacrifice scales, clearly. It's actually... hm.

...Shitshit, since when did fantasy novels start getting me into Abstract Rethink Mode? .::mutters to self and pads off in a wtf-ish daze, seeking tea and a nice view of the sunrise::.

N.B. if by this time tomorrow I'm clawing at the walls for a library with Hallowed Hunt on the shelves, please pat me on the head and tell me to simmer down because the sooner I start Hunt the sooner I finish it, and the sooner I finish it the sooner I fall over and land in science fiction. Am still digging in my heels about that and shouting 'no! no! no!'

*squee*

If you want to tell her how much you are enjoying the books, her email address (I post it here because she uses it on Usenet; it's not a private one) is lbujold@myinfmail.com

She enjoys fanmail very much, has been known to squee a bit herself and is therefore entirely squee-friendly, and is, in general, as you know because you met her briefly before ever reading any of her stuff, a very cool and not at all scary human bean. :-)

Wouldn't you rather I patted you on the head and handed you the autographed copy I bought myself in Minneapolis yesterday? :-)
