Primary News Today Yesterday: MY DADDY GOT HISSELF A JOB!!!! No, seriously. A real one. This is a good thing.

Today Yesterday was a day for arguing. Mmhm it was. First I had quite the discussion/argument with a few girls about homosexuality and morality... we have a rather -defined- class on that front, you see. Well I don't want to get into the details of the conversation, really. And- .::looks straight at Em::. -neither to I want to resurrect the discussion here, savvy? But I would like to express my disturbance at the fact that one boy made two points: one that there isn't really consensual homosexual bestiality, because it's redundant; and the other that homosexuality is... how did he say it... no better than having sex with a potted plant. I'm trying to see the logic here, really I am. But I think it's too far up his arse, along with his head.

Secondarily, we had a rebels vs. loyalists debate in USH. Now -that- was fun. We loyalists totally won. And I got to vent some major anger. And you know, this is going to sound just awful, but I -still- don't see the point of the American Revolution. imo, it was immature. But I'm weird like that. Don't try to make any point in argument, please.

And on to Today Today:

I am an incredible dork. For one, I had way too much fun than can be condoned explaining Press Gangs to the USH class... Even though I wasn't assigned to read the packet. Seriously, I was so into it-- "...and then, they'd put a coin in your drink, and then, they'd say you'd taken the King's Shilling so you were in the Navy now, and then, they'd put you on a brig offshore so you couldn't get away before they'd put you on a ship, and then..."
...gwad-i'm-such-a-navy-nerd.
But it totally made my day.

And of course, beyond that, there was econ. Today was a movie day. Now see, the last movie day they played "Heart of Oak" in the soundtrack, and I sang along very quietly under my breath. However, this time, they went into Latin America's economic baddies, so in the list of names they said "...and in Argentina, Juan Peron and Evita..." Well, I sort of squeed rather distractingly, I fear. Who here's seen Evita? Ok, now who's seen the movie with Madonna and Antonio Banderas... AND JONATHAN PRYCE! Yeah. Just you try and keep a straight face when Governor Swann starts hitting on Madonna and planning to take over all of Argentina. But ****, can that man sing. "She's a Diamond"? Yeah. Heartbreaking. Such pathos in that voice... wow.

Anyway. Also, beyond all that, I got my SAT test scores today. 1510. A perfect score is a 1600, composed of an 800 math and an 800 verbal. Well, I got the 800 verbal. And SATs are notoriously difficult big ol' tests, for those of you who don't know. So I'm quite proud.

What else. Oh, we had a French test yesterday, and one of our vocab words was... guess what? Canard! Yes, more dorky -M giggling ensued. Geez I'm a loser.

Still no laptop.

Borrowed HH: The Duel and The Fireships.
Want to go watch them now.

Love y'all!

Governor Swann hitting on Madonna?? OMG, I must see that!!!

AND... I had a lot of discussions about homosexuality with friends and one said that he wouldn't have sex with a man because that's yucky. The others agreed. Well... why do they expect us to want their "yucky sex" then? *frowns*

I would NOT be able to watch Swann hit on Madonna with a straight face. You couldn't pay me to, cuz I'd just keep expecting Liz to walk in going "Daddy, what are you doing?" or something cheesy like that.
Potted plant? POTTED PLANT??! What the **** is that kid on?? Go beat him for me, will ya? Verbally, that is...unless he gets really out of hand! ;)
I think I said this already, but thank you this much <-------------> (neverending line) for the copy of Greg's comment!! Teddy, hee hee heeeee!!

*Twitches in shock* Your weekend is so like mine, I'm frightened.. The test related matter.. the HH... *more twitching* My French test was on Wednesday, though, and I don't have a history class until Monday.. But I've never seen Evita, so I suppose that restores balance to the Force. ^_^ Congratulations* on your SAT score. Very well done. It'll just depress me all the more when I finally take it. :p

Oh my goodness, I hadn't realised Johnathon Pryce was in Evita. I so have to get that now (I was gonna get it soon anyhow) - and my husband can despair even more at me laughing randomly because of PotC-realted actors... If that makes any sense whatsoever...

Congratulations on your SAT score! Didn't you say you're younger than folks normally take them? (or did I get mixed up over stuff again?) Even more congratulations *grin*

As for the folks who have their heads up their arses, get yer cutlass out & threaten them - only a little, mind you ;-)
