2. snag pizza and a few minutes for dinner
3. get shirts out of dryer and pack them
4. buy shampoo &/or conditioner
5. select books to pack
6. " " CDs
7. figure out how to get Vivs' Dali imp from here to my dorm in one gorgeous piece
8. go to Chicago
9. read Maus in the car
10. arrive at hotel, lock self in bathroom, have scheduled breakdown
11. watch tv, check e-mail, possibly write, read GR (because I will neeeeed it), go to bed

THEN,
catch plane in the morning, survive stopover in DC, get from Portland Jetport to Comfort Inn, pray to God and the rest of 'em that said Comfort Inn has intarweb, check e-mail, HIDE IN MORE FIC AND TV.

And then it's 'me time' 'till the 27th. Which will actually be *sigh* nice.

Waiting for Bowdoin to call back about hotels precluded going to the bank. Therefore, no travelers checks, no secured credit account, not even my $50 check from the Uncles last night cashed. I'm cannonfodder. Also, I stepped into a bobby pin with the plastic ends taken off, thereby driving it 3/4 of an inch at least (I shit you not) into the sole of my foot. Didn't bleed that badly, until I was walking across the white, cheap kitchen floor to the bathroom. ...Breakdown happened a few hours early.
