Happy Friday

1: 3 packages came today. 2 boxes from home, and a toy from
tiggothy (who spoils me terribly). Jack, though, appears to be taking the scenic way over -- but he will receive a warm welcome whenever it is that he drops in. I now have headphones, real bedclothes, a laundry bag, notebooks + highlighters, sandals, and a planner. and, of course, a lovely tiny glam!Batman and glam!Batcopter.
2: I made a walk to The Keep today, chatted with comic!dude (I want to think his name is Chris... anyway, he got a haircut since last week), and picked up Gotham Central #35. I told him I had to settle into a collegiate budget, so I'd be in for one comic a week, at most. But might go in just to hang out... get an RL geek fix *g*
3: Thanks to motorboat #2 breaking down, sailing today mostly consisted of lazing about on the Sketchy Docks with the other newbies, chatting about classes and boats and humorous violence, pretending to tan, and sometimes going swimming. We also tied a noose, pretended we were marooned, and plotted a sailing trip to Portugal... in one of the Larks. Hey, it could happen. I also explained reefing and its merits/difficulties, in a striking show of total geekdom with which people were, for once, impressed. I also got in a short sun-nap and a little bit of flirting.
So, I have nothing all weekend, but hope I can use that to my advantage and work on Straw Men, my Crane ficathon piece, and, thanks to the very kind and absolutely gorgeous
mllereddeath, the glam!Joker layout.
Sentiment d'escalier:
There are only two beings who could possibly think of putting gummi bears on top of jell-o. An inspired culinary genius, and GOD. Whoever it was, works in the kitchen at Moulton Union. And I am glad.

Date: 2005-09-10 12:34 am (UTC)...and gummy sweets on jelly? Sounds good. Ever tried chocolate-covered wine gums / midget gems / jelly babies? The easiest way to do that is with chocolate fondue. Mmmmm....
