Because I know people will read this.

So I spent the night at a friend's house. Realized in so doing that I do NOT like being away from home (or more accurately, the internet) for "extended" (and apparently 24 hours does count as "extended") periods of time. I'm too much of a worrier.
That and I didn't have SQUAT time to write.
Sucked.
At any rate, home happy now. Also, I have a digital camera. So... yeah. That could prove useful, hm?
What else. Don't know.
Oh. Have developed a sea chanty-obsession. Which makes sense, knowing me; it was just a matter of time. Which reminds me; I had a friend ask me a few days ago if I was still a PotC fanatic. Well what could I tell her? Said yes. She said she admired me for it... or something. For sticking with it for aver a year. And it made me think: what is it that I love so much about PotC and that general universe? Because it seems PotC has unleashed a beast that I never knew I was. Well, that's something to think about.
And maybe it'll explain why I'll space out for ten-to-twenty minutes at a time, or effectively ignore an entire 40-minute lecture, but snap to, bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, at the word "pirate".
And I re-dyed my hair. So it's not yucky-brown anymore; back to a nice red tone.
Think that's it. Sorry to waste your time.

Date: 2004-07-28 10:22 pm (UTC)I saw this old pirate movie today called "The Black Swan," with Maureen O'Hara and Tyrone Power. Not bad, not bad at all...
Okay, pirates are sexy...
but shirtless pirates are sexier.
*maniacal laugh*

Re: HI HI HI!!!
Date: 2004-08-04 12:46 pm (UTC)Honestly, I'm sane...I swear...
In short, I'm at the moment working a series in which my goal is to write each m/m pairing possible (via drawing names from a hat) -because I'm an intellectual masochist or something, I suppose- so I'm an equal opportunities slasher with a strong leaning towards Jack/James shippage.
*inhale*

Date: 2004-08-04 12:59 pm (UTC)hmm..
i should see if i can get you interested in our RP group "Open Seas". Jack & Norri are already taken (as is Will and Liz -- *ahem* i play dear William) but we still dont' have a GOvernor Swann nor Gibbs. And we have TONS of amazing fan created characters. The play is intensely fun. The link to Open Seas is in my journal info.., somewhere. that is if you're interested and have the time. =P
Master & Commander... alwasy wanted to see but alas, never have. damn. i need to get on that!
Have you ever seen Horatio Hornblower? good GOD you'd love that! Ships & Nautical-ish stuff and Slashy men. oh my! ^_^
Re: HI HI HI!!!
Date: 2004-08-04 02:19 pm (UTC)I've read the second Hornblower book, but still haven't gotten around to seeing the movies. Though they're definitely on my to view list. Have been for a while now.
Though M&C is leaps and bounds better, and a good bit of that is due to the fact that it wasn't made-for-tv. In my opinion. ...When I go to the library to exchange my M&C books, I'll start in on borrowing the Hornblower movies as well, then, I suppose. n.n

Date: 2004-08-07 12:22 am (UTC)Not a bad thing to have! If you want to hear some really GOOD sea-music, including chanteys, sung by four of the chanteymen from Mystic Seaport, try Forebitter. (Craig Edwards, Geoff Kaufman, David Littlefield, and Rick Spencer) These guys are great - I have seen them perform any number of times and it's always a treat. Here's a site (UK based) that has 30-second samples from each of their CDs (different lead singer on each, so you get an idea of their voices) and you can order them in $ here.
