Completely OT, but I wanted to let you know that when I was taking a test on Thursday in my Psych class (psych as a natural science, so we're getting into a lot of biology), and the topic was sensation... I definitely had your explanation of how fear gas works (from your latest fic) running through my head. Medulla, amygdala, etc. etc... I'm not going to say it didn't distract me, because then I got mental images too. xD

YAY AMYGDALA! glad I could provide a dirty distraction. god knows we need them all the time once in a while.

oh, also? GREAT icon.
"Bat-apologies." BWAHAHAHAH.

It was lovely, but didn't help me answer the questions. ;) I still don't know where the motivation for hunger comes from... >__>

I always remember what the amygdala does because of what my professor told the class: "The amygdala has a lot to do with fear and agression. You can remember this by thinking Godzilla vs. Amygdala, because it sounds like some kind of monster, you know? And you'd need a lot of fear and agression to fight against Godzilla."

Hahaha, those were some great few scans there. Adam West!Batman is all at once awesome and terrifying. ;)

that and... AMYGDALA! PH34R! ... which always works for me. 'cept wouldn't go over too well if I wrote 'PH34R!' in an essay... butiprobablywould.

like I said in comments to the post. Adam West's Batman scares me almost as much as Miller's cranky!old!man!Bats. almost. maybe more. IT IS SCARY, OK? THAT SCENE IN THE ... CARRIAGE THINGY, WITH 'KITKA'... IT SCARES ME LOTS.

But I can't write that on a Scantron! Well, I could probably find a place for it... thought for next time, eh?

Ahahaha. You were traumatized as a child, weren't you? Really can't blame you - Adam West is truly messed up. Have you seen Drop Dead Gorgeous? Beauty Pageant thing, and the girls talk about Adam West hosting it, and he's so horny... heh. Have to see it, I think.

Robin!Panties should not be truly worn in any live action adaptation of Batman. There are lines to be drawn! Could you imagine Chris O'Donnell in them?

PH34R T3H SCANTRON (fuck quasi-l33t, "scantron" is nuts enough on its own)

no, actually, I was traumatized in about early August... late July... it was soonish after buying my brother the dvd for his birthday. BUT YES I WAS INDEED TRAUMATIZED. and highly amused.

heehee, Chris O'Donnell in the Robin-panties... now *that* might make me watch the crappy Schumacher batmovies again.

Haha. 5(4|\|7r0|\|? You can't even read it. ^^;

My dad bought that DVD! And then my mom gave it to my 3 year old cousin who's obsessed with Batman. xD If I ever really wanted another copy, it's only $5 at Target, so nothing's really stopping me... >__>

Now that I think about it... yeah. It could be pretty good incentive. Just, something about the rubber nipples on the costumes. O_o

real l33t scares me. I learned what I know from Tales for the Leet - Shakespeare... which is probably the kinda backward way to do it, but. 'kay.
(did you see that thread somewhere on s_d where there was a deep debate over what form of l33t-ification should occur for Beetle's name? it was creepy)

yes. found it in a bin at wal-mart. all the other dvds were giving it weird looks... or maybe that was just the robin-panties. HOLY SPECIAL FEATURES, BATMAN!

...Batman vs. nipples. the eternal battle of all Bat- movie adaptations. see icon.

Seriously, I guess on most of the letters. And when that fails, I look up Leet on Wikipedia. It has a few of the more complicated ones. I think it used to have a full leet dictionary, but it doesn't seem to anymore...

I must've missed that thread. Seriously, it's hilarious where some of them go. x)

Well see, now you're making me want to go buy another copy. :P I really like special features. ^_^

*grin* Very fitting. I was very glad they didn't go the nipple route in Begins. ^__^;

I think I might whine about the tights too, if I were in their place. ;)

Shhh. I almost had her blocked from my mind. Thanks a lot. :P

the special features aren't that great. ...well, some of them are. I mean, as great as campy gets... ok they were fun. but the West & Ward commentary disappointed me. all they did was whine about tights.

WRT nipple issues in Batman Begins...
RACHEL. most glaringly, the quadri-nipple silver shirt in her last scene with Bruce. BATMOVIEDOM SUFFERS FROM A NIPPLE CURSE.
