so when I picked up this icon from [livejournal.com profile] sampaguita_blue, I was not expecting to have the splendid opportunity to use it so soon! (oh, sarcasm, weloveyou). apparently someone in the Head Poo-Bah's office got on Sherie (the lovely lady who runs the campus store)'s case for letting students use their 'Polar Points' (flex points for the meal plan) - TO BUY FOOD - while campus is technically closed for spring break. no, this does not make sense. yes, I am just going to shut up and deal. in the mean time, HERE'S AN ALBUM FOR YOU! I like it.

The Juliana Theory - Emotion is Dead (.m4a, .zip)

also, for anyone wondering exactly how I'm dealing while not exactly shutting up?

need:
1 package Ramen. I'm using mushroom flavor.
1 electric kettle or other method of getting water as close to boiling as possible.
The top from 1 (economy-sized) CD-R or CD-RW spindle.

First-
wedge Ramen noodle block in CD spindle top. the corners may come off the Ramen. that's ok, it's just noodles.

Second-
fill electric kettle with 2 cups of water. heat it to boiling.

Third-
pour water into spindle top, over Ramen. the top will hold a little more than exactly 2 cups. it's very convenient.

Fourth-
wait for several minutes, poking Ramen every few minutes with chopsticks. when noodles are soft enough that the block breaks up and actually looks like noodly soup rather than a brick of wiggly extruded flour, water, and egg, add contents of flavor packet. poke some more, and stir, and such.

THE MEAL THAT COSTS LESS THAN THE NAPKINS! YAY!

Note: I have Sony CD-R, and that seems to impart no extra plasticky flavor (I say "extra" because well, this is Ramen).

-BON APPETIT!-

Gonna watch Swing Kids now.

That is absolutely the most artful way of eating Ramen than I had ever dreamed in my wildest dreams.

YES!!!! Something to do with a post [livejournal.com profile] drbillbongo posted about stuff she found while doing a google search for Damian O'Hare stuff. I believe she found a Damian who wrote a review on a book about KungFu.. or something. And the icon!bunny was born.

There was supposed to be this cute little kurby lookin' thing after 'this much' with little arrows showing just how much (<(")>)... but LJ thought it was some attempt at CSS, or whatever.
