Happy Christmas
Dec. 24th, 2004 03:28 pmAh, my dears, I want you to know you have made this one of the cheeriest, most spirited Christmases I've had. Mostly thanks to all the festive ficcing, to be honest, but just the general joy, and Christmassiness, that glows around here. Even from those of you who don't celebrate Christmas, there's been kindness and caring and it's really made my holiday. So, in gratitude, I have two things for you. The first is a Christmas Eve story...
About exploding soda.
(As recounted to
jenlan and
british_pickle)
garnetpalomino: we had exploding soda...
Sounds...fizzy?
garnetpalomino: it's SCARY, that's what it is
garnetpalomino: mum had about 4 boxes of soda in her trunk
garnetpalomino: they froze.
garnetpalomino: they explooded.
garnetpalomino: zo. I had to clean them
garnetpalomino: in the sink
garnetpalomino: one, when it hit the warm water, was like "WHOAH *shoot soda at you*"
garnetpalomino: and I was like "HEEEEEEEEELP!!!!!!"
garnetpalomino: and then I got over it.
garnetpalomino: and cleaned all the sodas, and put them in buckets in the kitchen
garnetpalomino: and went into the living room to write the rest of Xmas Eve Day at the Turner-Norringtons, because that's what I've been doing since 1 in the morning
garnetpalomino: and then..... a few minutes later, I swear someone shot a GUN off in the KITCHEN
garnetpalomino: but it was just a soda popping its tab
garnetpalomino: so I was all "*giggle* come lookit the funny soda"..
garnetpalomino: and then ANOTHER one exploded
garnetpalomino: like... BRUTALLY EXPLODED
garnetpalomino: IN MY FACE
garnetpalomino: so I screamed and fell over backwards, which is to be expected.
garnetpalomino: and when I got up, there was, literally, and I am not kidding, diet coke on everything in a 6-foot spherical radius.
garnetpalomino: and I got to clean it up
gosh, you've just been having an interesting time...
garnetpalomino: oh, yes.
Secondly, I have a picture, a preview, and a promise.
The promise: We will be following the Existentialism boys through the holidays, or at least through Christmas Eve Day, because I've been writing that since 1 this morning and don't want it to go to waste.
The picture:
My MSWord "writing desk" and my pretty winamp! Music in the image thanks to D-M.

The preview: See that 'alliwantforxmas' window? Guess what AU sequence that's from. Didn't realize how much of it showed until I looked at the cap myself, but... well it's up, so there ya go.
Happy holidays, Christmas, Yule, Hanukkha, Solstice, Kwanzaa, random day in December... yeah, that. Love you all!

Date: 2004-12-25 03:28 am (UTC)Oy. Trying to get over a head cold so that I can actually sing at Midnight Mass (which is, in fact, at midnight, for those of you who were wondering). I have a runny nose. And I really don't want to be a nose-blowing fiend up in the choir loft. Lee has enough to worry about without me sneezing all over him.
...Max isn't doing much right now. Little retard. Kinda makes me wonder how far this plot will actually go. This may sound odd, but I think I need to give him a fault, cuz he's not rash, he's not a hothead, he's fairly brave... I guess I need to make him more of a sixteen-year-old boy instead of an experienced warrior.
.::thinks::.
He does tend to be a bit oblivious... *cough*likemostguys*cough*

Date: 2004-12-25 03:33 am (UTC)...spherical radius? As opposed to a triangular radius?
At least someone in YOUR freshman class didn't decide to shake up a Dr. Pepper can and punch it on the side with a pen and try and drink soda from the little hole but the soda came out of the hole so fast that it shot straight up and left a stain on the ceiling for the rest of the year! AT SCHOOL! IN OUR CLASSROOM THAT WAS THE SIZE OF YOUR BEDROOM!

Date: 2004-12-30 09:33 am (UTC)As you know, my holiday has been insane. And now I'm stuck at work trying to catch up on LJ since I'm afraid to go near anything electrical at home...ah well. Hope the storm front passes. At least I'm not in S.SanFrancisco where their new sewage plant failed to do its job. Eww...
