went to DMC for the ... sixth? seventh? whatever -- I've seriously lost count now -- time. and, as usual, got a brain full of ideas, ficwise and otherwise, and basically don't want to go to sleep because I want to stay on the internets and play with timelines and characters and piraaaaaaaates... *whine*

yeah.

also, this may just be the caffeine talking, but I really think people on the intarwebs need to stop being buttfinks.

lastly, you know what? I have not written all summer. that's right -- all. fucking. summer. so I'm rather sick of that, so I'm taking drabble/ficlet requests. piratey-like, if you please, since that's obviously where my brain's been hanging out lately. crossovers you can try me with, but they're perhaps less likely to get done. all I ask is that you include in your request three things:

1- character, characters, or pairing. (also, if there's anyone you reallyreally don't want to see then let me know that as well, because otherwise I'm liable to bring him/her/it in randomly.)

2- word, phrase, setting, or some other prompt-y thing. 'cause otherwise my brain won't have anything to grab on to, and that would pretty much suck.

3- rating range. self-explanatory.

and that looks all formal and demanding and shit, but really it's not -- more guidelines than actual rules, you know -- and just basically ... GIMME IDEAS! *grabby hands* and I'll try to, you know, write them. for you. and they will probably may suck royally, because I'm rusty and crusty and way off my game, but at least you'll have the fuzzy satisfaction of knowing you helped a very, very desperate girl. so again: GIMME IDEAS!, cause right now? I've got Jack & James playing rum pong and ... that's about it. for ideas.

also, the more ASAP y'all request, the sooner I don't-have-to-go-to-bed. which would be nice as I don't want to go to bed!

Norrington would not have expected it, but there was a certain amount of comfort to be had in working before the mast, even on the Black Pearl. Supernatural though she may have been claimed in legend – and there was indeed an air of the extraordinary about her; James could attest to that first-hand, if reluctantly – when it came down to the ropes and tackle the 'Pearl was a ship the same as any other, and he could tie the knots and splices in his sleep. Or, as was the current situation, while gracelessly recovering from a several-month-long period of drunkenness and his own personal doldrums. The nearly mindless physical labor reminded him of the oath he'd sworn to himself and his first command, years ago – that he'd forever be a sailor, first and foremost.
