1) thinking and/or actually talking in blank verse
1b) to yourself, while at work
2) repeatedly telling Richard II that he's stupid, then realizing that you can't actually write that in your paper
3) forgetting that when Bolingbroke whines, "Such is the breath of Kings," Richard does not reply, "Well, duh!"
4) mediating an argument in your head between James, Jack, and Charlie over who should write your paper
5) realizing that Charlie's actually already written part of it, and omgwtf that can't possibly be right

Talky dysfunctional love! As the colorbar on my info page says. My dissertation is all about sixteenth-century poetic depictions of Richard II, so there is much with the crazy. It is actually re-evaluating the relationship of history, theater, and drama in the 1590s, but Richard II is my case study because a) the deposition remained a sensitive topic two hundred years after it happened (and more; Nahum Tate's cornball 1681 adaptation of the play got banned even though he whitewashed Shakespeare's Richard a WHOLE LOT and then changed all the names and retitled it The Sicilian Usurper, which really ought to be a deep dish pizza), and b) I am completely and utterly obsessed with Richard II. BA theses, it turns out, are perilous things. ;)
