O HAY GUYS GUESS WHAT I DID YESTERDAY.

secret answer: I got tattoed.

this has been in the planning for a while, as those of you who have been exposed to my protracted and extensive nattering on the subject will know (hi wolby!). first I wanted seagull wings, my sister's design, but those fell through (for now!) for lack of time/funding. so this is what I got instead:



two very simple forget-me-nots under my left collarbone. in memory of my grandmother, and also just pretty. I like them a lot and am *very* happy with how they turned out -- I did/do waffle a little about whether a more detailed version would have been better, but I always come back to really liking these. they're simple and unassuming, but don't back down and aren't floofy. I like that.

I also got this, which you've already probably seen in the previous post. BTW, IT MAKES ME VERY HAPPY. :D

in conclusion- UGH, IT WAS AWESOME AND I WANT TO DO IT AGAIN. I can totally see how these get addictive. :S

now, as I am sitting in front of the a/c vent and shivering-cold, I need to go thaw out in the sunshine before dinner. ilu ALL, and hopefully when I get my baby iBook back from i.t. it will be happy and functional. (this is unlikely. BUT THERE IS ALWAYS HOPE. I have good people on the job.)

*admires* Those are pretty awesome tattoos! I really need to stop being indecisive about fonts and go out and get mine, but there are just too many options!

ugh, I know. the <3 was easy because lau and I just looked for the most heart-looking font and sized it. the forget-me-nots I gave up on and let the artist design on the spot, because I mean, it's his job. and he read me right and did an awesome job, to my pleasant surprise!

if you're really explicit and want a stencil then yeah, definitely wait until you have the look you really want -- though I know I'm also one of those people who can waffle for AGES, and in the end I just had to go in there and get it, and I'm much happier having done that. so keep that in mind!
