Which always makes me feel useless.

I could just grin, bear it, realize that I *am* a newbie and Pirates *was* my first fandom ... first-and-a-half, if you count Potter ... and I could just stfu and write something, be proactive, if I want attention make something worth said attention ...

I'm sorry you're feeling down. . .If it's any consolation, everyone was a newbie at some point, and just as there'll always be folks who've been around longer than you, there'll always be folks who are newer than you. Keep your chin up!
