I'm finally doing it.

I'm getting a paid account.

thexyboombang's paid status, if it didn't expire already, is doing so very shortly.

It was my safety net of paid-lj joy. Given to me by an impulsive Secret Admirer (a lesson to all - aloof flirting w/ younger, thoughtless monied folk is good), it has been my Very Beloved Thing for a year. But, with the impending arrival of my fic archive website (thanks to Vivs and drbillbongo), I don't think it needs to be paid.

And gwad awmighty, I wants me some icon space. And polls and mood themes and shtuff, but mostly, icon space.



The Plan:
6 months paid, on this my personal. Possibly with the 50 icons addition... comes to $15, and another $6 for the icons, $21. But, I'm not sure I need the 50 icons, so I may settle for 15 and then up it to 50 if I feel it necessary.
Or, I may just break and get the 50, because my 15 slots are full on thexyboombang and I love all of them. So...

Thoughts? I'm going b-day shopping for the kiddo, and to pick up a little treat for myself. I'll be here when I get back.


(Also. STUPID TAXES, SOCIAL SECURITY, ET CETERA! Stole, bloody stole, $60. Yes, excuse me while I complain like the rash young thing I am. It's just, I know full well Social Security is on its deathbed, so it's not like this is doing me any good. ...Though to console myself, it is doing other people much good. So, alright. I'm still not of the proper weight class to be donating blood, so I'll let this be my alternative. Ok, good now. Going away. Bye.)

..Yay! Paid account! Now the world is open to you.. Although I've only discovered how to change my mood themes, and add more icons. So a paid account hasn't really opened 'my' world.. Just.. lifted the shades to the windows, a bit. Enough analogies. I'm confusing myself.

I finally gave in and went for the fifty icon spaces. And if I'd had $125 dollars to spend, carelessly, I'd have bought a permanent account. Just for the (up to 100) icon space.. *manic laugh*

You're probably already aware that after a long period of having three icon spaces, 15 fill up very quickly. LJ knows when they've got us...
