silverjet747 and I have been whoring around LimeWire for old tv show eps, she for Gummi Bears and I for Batman. So that's New Toy the first: my BATMAN, DAMNIT! playlist on winamp, approximately 9 hours 45 minutes of batbingeing. And can I just say that at 4 o' somethingretarded in the morning, Batman Beyond: 'Return of the Joker' is some sporking creepy-ass shit? It is. ...I so want to see that second incarnation glam!Joker paired with SOMEONE, though. 'Cause daim. (And while we're on the topic of incarnations of the Joker, The Batman (new Bat series on Kids' WB)'s Joker is freaking INCREDIBLE. God, love.)
New Toy the second is the absofuckinglutely RIDICULOUS Batman 'n' Scarecrow crack!fic that's been following me around all day and is now outlined on a few pages of a lovely notebook. It will be written before I go to sleep.
New Toy the third is Batman: TAS Volume 1, which I picked up after my allergy appointment. Three of the episodes feature Scarecrow, and though the first is a bit dreary and unspectacular, the other two, 'Fear of Victory' and 'Dreams in Darkness' (the Batman-in-Arkham one, angstysquee!), are beautiful dark things that showcase SC's sick!twisted!bastard side and his intellectualized psych-geeking side both very well. The new character design doesn't hurt, either.
New Toy the fourth and final is omg yay, because AHMIGAD I HAVE A BAT. The story goes like this:
When I went to pick Vivs and Ess up from a lateish showing of The Island, I got to the theater a bit early. It was 11:someodd, so they were closing up and cleaning up, and I noticed a ladder and a dude on said ladder. Turned out they were, as I had suspected, taking down the hanging foamcore display bats for Batman Begins. Well, I took my opportunity -- looking as cute as possible, I went in and asked if they were saving the bats, and if I could take one home with me. He said they were keeping them for the employees, so I kinda bit my lip and asked real nicely. Well, ok, maybe he could give me one... And so he did. And I now have it hanging prettily under my bed with me, and am EXCEEDINGLY happy. .::smooches::.
There is also a fifth New Toy to hopefully join up tomorrow -- American Psycho DVD, $9.99 at Blockbuster. They were out of stock when Pidge was there today, but should have refilled for tomorrow, they say. Pidge and I are splitting the cost.
