Now that I'm back on the internet, though... I've got my laptop!! First entry on my laptop. This is.
Sometime soon there will be a PtT spoof having to do with goofy French 2 songs... because I know know how to say "Who stole the mustard?" In French, of course.
Also, I have a commodore costume.
Yes, that's right, a commodore costume. Sword (yay my sword), hat, neckcloth (they called it an ascot at the shoppe), and coat. Yum.
I'd put up pictures but they all SUCK because my mum can't take candids to save her life and Vivs is at an overnight and I'd've taken them yesterday but mum TOOK MY CAMERA WITH HER TO WORK and LEFT IT THERE OVERNIGHT and JUST NOW GOT HOME.
No I'm not bitter. I'm looking FORWARD to mopping the floor!
Oh, this evening I met Srettan at B/N and ran around the store looking dopey in my sextastic commodore costume, sans hat and sword. They had a HUGE book on ships. *drool* All sorts of stuff about the Victory, and Trafalgar, and NELSON!!
(oh, and for y'all who're wondering always about PotC Naval Uniform Issues, here's some Official Definitive Data: it wasn't until 1748 that the British Royal Navy started putting their men in honest-to-goodness uniforms. So... go from the movie for uniform stuff, because there's no historical backing for it.)
2 other firneds met us there, and the guy wouldn't keep off my coat! First he had the gall to touch my epaulette, then he petted my sleeve, then full-out PETTED MY SHOULDER! Terribly disrespectful.
Today before church Pidge and I sat around quoting the Admiralty Snarkfest from the end of The Fireship/Examination for Lieutenant. You know... "I admire your perspicacity, sir!" and that kind of thing. We found out one of the tenors had been listening in when he kibbitzed that the blue-eagle-muppet's name is Sam. >.< Damn tenors.
They (the damn tenors) screwed us up on O Sacred Feast, too, and Karen (our director) nearly shat a brick.

Speaking of Js... Jack Davenport WILL be in PotC 2, in case you've missed the notices EVERYWHERE LJ. Everybody join me in a happy dance.
