Her hair's swept back in gentle waves, but a few curls have slipped free and they frame her face and seem to fascinate Bruce -- as though he isn't enthralled enough already! He's not as dressed up as she is -- no suitcoat, but his powder-blue dress shirt looks like magic under the stars and against his almost-black tie. I would hate for him to miss it," could creatively also mean "don't let the redcoats go off and shoot him." except whatever, the redcoats wouldn't shoot him, but there gets to be a point where, even with Sparrington, you're scraping the barrel for subtext.

also -- apparently when writing the mutiny sequence in Psalms I forgot that um, if it's windy enough for them to have to take in sail that severely, the deck's not gonna just stay nice and level. in fact, it's going to not-stay-level enough that I might want to toss in a phrase to that effect, or something, while writing. oops. ...live and learn.

back to the movie; let's see how far I get tonight :)

mmm... just watched Velvet Goldmine last night. since the copy I bought is VHS, and I can't watch that out here, I picked up a download. the quality's rather good. therefore: any requests for animated icons a la the Breakfast on Pluto set I did? or, you know, just generally, VG or BoP icon requests at all.

however, before the STUPID weather-induced nasal hemorrhaging, I was getting back into writing ... yep ... Straw Men. technically, the prequel piece. so that's ... sitting in MS Word at like 3,500-4,000 words and. might actually (touch wood) get done before the end of spring break.

I'm also trying to see how long/successfully I can go without my Concerta. I'd like to learn to function passably without it, not because I'm against medicating, but because if I do forget to take my meds some day I don't want to be caught out. so ... yes. ok.
