dad: because they can't use chemical fertilizers. so they use animal shit.
me: yes dad, the cereal is covered in poop.
dad: it's like joni mitchell. give me spots on my apples. *sings* put away the ddt ... give me spots on my apples ... but leave me the birds and the bees~
me: LOLS
dad: *warbles* pleeee~eeease!

(important to know about my dad: he's the man who raised the music nerd in me. also he couldn't carry a tune in a wheelbarrow if you strapped it down.)
