apparently I'm working at the hotel this Saturday. so that makes today, tomorrow, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday all days when I have to be up at 7:30 AM and functional by 8:30 AM, all in a row.

ETA: but! to be less whiny, they are also days when I'll have major access to the CD player. so, what do you friendly people think I should listen to? hook me up, girls :D (it just can't be rap, or full of cursing. well, it can be, but then I'd have to just listen to it at home and not at work.)

and you know what? that has pretty much been my day! this day has been rocking! HOORAY for days off! I slept in, woke up feeling better than I have since, like, Tuesday, and then hung around, poked at fic, and watched internet TV with the kid brother (Quicksilverscreen!), including several episodes of Psych, with which I am now in love.

NO YOU GUYS, SERIOUSLY! it has THAT LINE UP THERE, and also FUN, and AWESOME, and CRIMES, and SEXY, and BUDDINESS, and FATHER-SON ISSUES / BACKSTORY FLASHBACKS / CUTENESS. go watch. I just linked you to QuickSilverScreen, so you've got no excuse now. also, Shawn and Gus frequently remind me of Sam and Dean, but not brothers. JUST FRIENDS :D

and also, kid and I went to the store so he could buy Jones soda, and man you guys, their "crushed melon" flavor is AWESOME, and we heard "Anna Molly" by Incubus in the car on the way home and I'm addicted to that song now. ADDICTED, DO YOU HEAR ME? and it's ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL outside, so I'm totally gonna lay out there in a bikini and shorts like I haven't done in my whole life a year.

so, I've gotta tell you, this whole being-ridiculously-sick thing is losing its novelty really fast. example: I just tried to put an apostrophe in its, and yesterday I typed "through" instead of "throw" in a fic and didn't notice it until a much later readthrough. bla bla bla normal mistakes -- that I don't usually make XD

anyway, dad was kind enough to deposit my paycheck on the way to work and after a nap or three I've managed to settle all of this month's finances, which that's always a hurdle for me (though often more psychologically than monetarily). I've also taken an aspirin because encroaching on 103 is just TOO HIGH FOR A FEVER, OKAY, and once that kicks in the plan is to take a shower and spend some time outside of the house getting other people sick XD (actually, I'm just gonna go buy Alexander Revisited, some more Fruit Breezers, and maybe some ginger ale).

I don't want to be so sick as to have to call Wendy again tomorrow. especially since I'm the only one in laundry on Fridays D:

my sister brought the bug home and got my brother sick, and he got me sick, and I got my mom sick. I just hope my daddy doesn't get sick ;_; he's had enough of a hellish time having to deal with all of our sick crankiness~

tonight was my first night at the American Cancer Society (ACS) headquarters and call center (I'm that annoying naggy person who calls just as you're sitting down to dinner and rattles off this scripted thing about how unspeakably grateful the ACS is and also we want more money now please -- only, you know, I improvise. mostly in an effort to get the important stuff out before the person hangs up on me).
